“The DoubleTree cookie was nice but Vincenzo's tiramisu was better. Seriously — the best Italian meal of our Orlando trip and we ate everywhere.”

DoubleTree Universal is comfortable and well-located for Universal Studios visits. The signature chocolate chip cookie at check-in is famous. But when dinner comes, you deserve something more substantial than hotel dining.
Vincenzo is 5 to 8 minutes south on International Drive. The tiramisu — made in-house with espresso-soaked lady fingers and mascarpone cream — is the dessert that guests compare everything else to. But it is the savory courses that build the meal.
The pappardelle ragu brings fresh pasta ribbons with rich Angus beef ragu and basil pomodoro. The chicken caprese features grilled chicken with tomatoes, bufala mozzarella, arugula, pesto oil, and balsamic glaze.

Handmade Pasta & Italian Classics
Every dish is made from scratch, every night. This is what dinner at Vincenzo looks like.
DoubleTree is famous for its warm chocolate chip cookie. Vincenzo is famous for its homemade tiramisu. One is a nice hotel amenity. The other is a genuine Italian dessert crafted by a kitchen that treats every component as essential.
The comparison extends beyond dessert. DoubleTree provides corporate hospitality. Vincenzo provides family hospitality. Both have their place, but one feels manufactured and the other feels real.
The Navarra family's 30+ years in hospitality show in the way Vincenzo operates — personal, consistent, and genuinely caring about the experience of every guest.
Over 4,000 reviews reflect a restaurant that has earned its reputation through thousands of individual experiences, not through corporate marketing.
I compare every Italian restaurant to Vincenzo now and nothing comes close. The carbonara, the gnocchi, the tiramisu — each one is the best version I have had.

This place is a hidden gem on I-Drive. Not a chain, not overpriced tourist food. Real Italian with real heart. The tiramisu alone is worth the trip.

Made the Way It Should Be
Homemade lasagna. Meatballs with San Marzano sauce. The Italian food you remember, done right.
The DoubleTree serves fine hotel food. But once you have experienced Vincenzo's handmade pasta, prime steaks, and genuine Italian hospitality, returning to hotel dining feels like a step backward.
That is not a criticism of the hotel — it is a compliment to the restaurant.
